Fifty Years, And Counting

Belief was the beginning.

In 1975, business leaders in Manchester, Tenn., knew there was a better way to bank local.

And that's our founders jointly created and capitalized a new, single-location community bank based in Manchester -- Coffee County Bank.

Headquartered and operated in downtown Manchester, Coffee County Bank was designed from day one to better serve those who call our community home. Fifty years and four locations later, that belief continues to drive our people, our product selection and the services we provide.

And our history of providing better, local banking is a reminder of what make our 50th anniversary so special.

50,000 ways to say thanks

In 2025, our leadership decided to show our communities how much we appreciate the five decades of support they've shown by making a special round of investments.

As a result, in Spring 2025, we launched a campaign to put $50,000 back into important and worthy causes across Coffee and Warren Counties -- $1,000 for each year we've been in business.

Our 50,000 ways to say thanks campaign kicked off in April 2025 with a $10,000 donation to Park Partners, a certified 501(c) 3 designed to help fund and implement improvements at Manchester's public parks.

Our $10,000 donation to Park Partners will help purchase playground equipment for Hunter's Forest.

Additional 50,000 ways to say thanks announcements are scheduled for Summer and Fall 2025 - so stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages in the meantime.

Special anniversary logo

In early September 2024, we began thinking about a special, anniversary logo to commemorate our 50th anniversary.

What began as a simple concept designed to play off our revamped "C" logo mark as a component in the number 50 evolved over the next several weeks to become the special logo you see now on many our 2025 marketing pieces, including all social media content.

Over the course of designing a special 50th logo, we singled out the elements most important to telling the story of Coffee County Bank. Seen above, the logo endured several rounds of edits until we arrived at the finished product you see today.

Some important elements to note in the anniversary logo are:

  • Coffee County Bank Blue: Prominent use of the blue we've adopted as our official primary brand color
  • C logo mark: Integration of our primary logo mark as a stand-in for the numeral "0" in "50." The recently-updated C logo features a closed inner circle and mono color scheme, representing the unity of the Coffee County Bank and Coffee Bank & Trust brands, which both feature the C logo mark
  • Date range: Importantly, our anniversary logo points to the fact Coffee County Bank has been operated locally since 1975, making 2025 an important milestone for us
  • Coffee.Bank: In 2024, we moved to a new and secure .bank URL for our website. We're proud to be among leaders in community banking who have adopted a .bank URL, plus when spelled out, our web domain is now also a shortened version of our bank name -- coffee.bank
  • 50 years and counting: One of the most important and last details added to the logo, our team wanted to tell customers we aren't content with 50 years in business -- we're already looking ahead to the next 50 and are treating the 50th anniversary as a milestone on this continued journey with you
We look forward to celebrating our 50th with our anniversary logo throughout 2025, but don't get too used to it. The anniversary logo will be officially retired at the end of 2025.

Ed Henley Memorial Scholarship

In May 2025, to honor a lifetime of remarkable service to our bank -- as well as the Coffee County community at-large -- we launched the Ed Henley Memorial Scholarship, a $500 scholarship for graduating seniors at Coffee County High School.

The scholarship is named for Ed Henley, who passed away in late 2024 after a lifetime of service to his community and Coffee County Bank.

Designed to help a local student attain post-high school education, the Ed Henley Memorial Scholarship appropriately debuted near the anniversary in what would have been Ed’s 50th anniversary on the board. Through this scholarship, Ed’s legacy continues to make life better for those who call Coffee and Warren County home.
